How else to find a show runner for my project when I'm not in Hollywood?
Anyone here used the NY Times for classifieds? How effective?

I believe a classified ad is what hooked up a rich guy with the promoter of the Woodstock concert and movie.
I do not think however that a classified ad would be a good investment for a script. I know someone, a talented actor, who lives in NYC and for literally decades been trying to sell his scripts through professional networking in the city. He's met a lot of movie people, some famous, some of whom have made money with scripts and acting . He has made very little money in the field although he says he's in talks to sell his script to a major.
It's very difficult to impossible to sell a script for money to live off of. I would say you're better trying to make a low budget production using the script and post it online and see if it gets any traction. On the other hand, don't listen to me, do what you feel. Follow your dreams.
Yeah thanks, I appreciate it.
I have the money to shoot a short teaser, that would cost a few thousand.
To run the ad. would cost $299. I'm in Canada and that would be close to $400 Canadian.
I've run a Craigslist Ad.
Not sure exactly what I will do. I would like to be involved in my project long term through consulting/directing/producing.
I just need someone in the industry to take a look at the idea.
