Actually, a non-zero chance that Varg has something to do with this... one hour ago on his youtube channel he posted:
"My sympathy goes out to the Gallic people, who had their sacred sites burned or in other ways destroyed by the Christians." in the replies a couple of times after taking a week off from posting videos. This was the same logic he used to justify the Norwegian church burnings in the 90s.
The video before his week-long absence was him mocking people who seek to solve problems through politics rather than taking problems into their own hands.

So horrible to watch the massive fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Perhaps flying water tankers could be used to put it out. Must act quickly!

“Helicopter or plane, the weight of the water and the intensity of dropping it at low altitude could weaken the structure of Notre-Dame and cause collateral damage to surrounding buildings,” the French Civil Security tweeted.

It was actually Victor Hugo's novel "Notre-Dame de Paris" that turned the cathedral into an icon worthy or restoration. It was in disrepair before that.
I should note that the Americanized name of the novel is "The Hunchback of Notre Dame".

On Friday Islamic terrorists Inez Madani was jailed for eight years for her attempted car bombing outside of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
Madani was wounded with a knife in the belly of a police officer during the arrest in 2016.

This doesn't make any sense. How do you get wounded by a knife in someone else's belly?
The teen, Ines Madani, stabbed a police officer with a knife and was shot in the leg Thursday night in a raid south of Paris, police said. France's interior minister described the pursuit as "a race against time" to find Madani and the two women with her before they struck.

No she wants to take the insurance money and hire more teachers with it.
It is an act of God to destroy his stupid Church because there is no God. The fire is Him disappearing in a puff of logic.
"Officials" have every reason not to know why.
BTW, since laicite in 1905, the State formally owns almost all Church buildings in France (which is one reason why some of them have rather strange opening hours, mandated by law).

I came on here to see what LRC'ers were posting about the super sad fire of the Notre Dame cathedral. Instead I get to see the conversation has somehow turned into inflammatory political bashing. Not surprised.

Wouldn't be a tragedy if people weren't trying to use it for personal gain

Yes, it's sad how sports (like LRC) has been over-taken by politics.

Which they will do as part of the insurance claim against the renovation workers who started the fire. That construction insurance company is going to get wiped out.
Drone photo. Wow.

So will the construction company. Insurance can't pay it so they'll go after company who can't pay it and both go down in flames with the Cathedral
