Yes! His ability to recover is unmatched.
Perhaps, but other than Yuki Kawauchi, a number of prominent ultrarunners come to mind, most significantly, Georgio Calcaterra (marathon PB of 2:13). See the dates and his results in 2000 for example. This is not a complete list of his races.
