I’m in california
Wash U is the best choice based on your criteria. They are a top XC program and one of the top academic schools. With your income level, you would only pay about $25k.
That’s solid I’ve been looking at wash U. They’re pretty good academically too. Any other top ones u guys know of??
Just run faster and go to UCLA.

There aren't scholarships in D3. Everyone walks on.

Carnegie Mellon and NYU
Carleton in the Midwest (10th and 14th at XC Nationals the last couple of years). Academics are top-notch.

Lots of Atlantic Region schools are good for academics and running: RIT, RPI, Geneseo, Rochester are some of the top ones. Depends on what majors you are interested in though

If I were from California the last place I'd want to go is upstate New York.
We have a few Cali kids that actually enjoy the weather here, but it is definitely a different climate
