He's been top 5 twice, and also 5th at NYC fairly recently. He just quietly gets it done and gets absolutely no respect on these boards. He'll be the top American AGAIN and all of you will turn the other cheek.

See? Nobody cares about the best American marathoner in the field.
Wake me up if an American can run a time which would put them within 2 miles of the world record time (Kipchoge's Berlin time, not Kimmetto's legit time).
Ok, I’ll bite. No one cares because he’s just another Kenyan ex-pat.

Short podcast with him leading up to the race.
Well, an injured Rupp ran within a mile of world record time just a few months ago. Needless to say a healthy Rupp can be within 400 meters of the world record if running Berlin.

He went to high school here, racist.

Needless to say because it is FALSE.

You're saying Rupp is a low-2:03 guy?

No, he is saying he can break 2:03. Absurd of course.

There's no American with the name Shadrack Biwott.

Yes. He is absolutely a 2:03 guy. After that tough Prague marathon in warm weather, running mostly by himself, it is easy to see him at 2:03 in Berlin. Kipchoge is not doing a 2:01 in Prague for sure. 2:03 is very doubtful for him there as well. Kipchoge is never going to be more than a minute ahead of a healthy Rupp.
Are you the same person who saying Rupp is never going under 2:08 a couple of years ago? Absurd!

To be fair, US marathoners finish at 6 minute per mile pace so they are within 2 miles of the WR time.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
