What I am curious about is how fast he can actually run a marathon if...in fact...he can even run one. He looks like he might be able to run 4 hours but I'm not sure. His muscle tone is not great. But he doesn't look to bad when he is running.
I wonder how he ever got to a place where he was compelled to do this.
Well, apparently he jumped in right before the photo point with the people running 6:30 pace, then finished 1:40 behind them at the chip mat, which was slightly less than a mile. Assuming this was an all-out sprint for the good doctor, that puts his VDot equivalent marathon time at about 4:15 if he specifically trained for the marathon. That would actually be a really good place in his age group, 4th or 5th or so.
But apparently that wasn't good enough for him.
