Meza to Burfoot:
"I never focused on the marathon until I was 60. The last few years I’ve trained 100 miles a week for several months before my marathons. I do pretty fast 8-milers with the high school team"
Mate, if you were doing "100 miles a week for several months before my marathons" then running 2:50:+ you'd look something like Gene Dykes or Ed Whitlock not the fooking Michelin Man.

You should see how long I’ve been on Proctor across Canada ??, because of how personal it is, because Al Howie’s passed on.
Bland to Burfoot:
“When Gene Dykes came on the scene last fall, we were amazed, because we had never heard of him. He apparently got a late start. We wondered, ‘Where did he come from?’ ”
Piss weak attempt at deflecting Bland, for your information Dykes' races have been meticulously scrutinised and found to be 100% squeaky clean, unlike your pal Meza. FMD, every race Meza has participated in (nearly wrote ran) anyone here on LR could come up with at least half a dozen anomalies for each one.
You need to get a tighter grip on yourself.

I’m not going to do a blog. I’m going to work with races as a consultant.
Derek already does that, but perhaps there's a market for more.
It’s clear that one of his goals is to publicly out and humiliate people who cheat. This has turned a lot of people (including RDs) off.
I’m going to work in a consultant capacity and only communicate my findings with race organizers. If an RD wants to publicly out a runner, that is up to them. I will not go down that road. Strictly professional.

Kind of weird seeing Gedyon graduated in 2011 and he still has eligibility.
In the spirit of Air Jordan, Nike is proud to announce its new product line, SNEAK MEZA. Dr. Meza has shown an unprecedented level of meticulousness, tenacity, and perseverance, and we believe the new Sneak Meza line embodies that same spirit,
These ones are even sneakier:
Funny.
I had a lot of respect for Lance Armstrong and the LiveStrong foundation also. It clouded my judgment on his ‘alleged’ doping for a long time. I’m glad their were diligent journalists and investigators that kept digging.
I am starting to feel like this may be going too far in the realm of public humiliation. His misdeeds have been brought to light and hopefully the wrongs will be made right. He made some terrible lapses in judgement.
Is it about time to move on?
What the hell got into this guy? The psychology of this is fascinating. Not sure if this has already been posted, but here's a 1993 article from the LA Times on how FM motivates youth through running and education:
https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1993-05-24-vw-39157-story.html
Again... it's probably already been mentioned. But notice how many of his historical finishing times are within seconds of each other. How does that happen year after year?
Pasadena Marathon 2009, 3:19:59 (~7:37/mi)
Santa Clarita Marathon 2009, 3:19:59 ( ~7:37/mi)
Pasadena Marathon 2010, 3:19:53 (~7:37/mi)
Long Beach Marathon 2011, 3:09:34 (~7:14/mi)
Santa Clarita Marathon 2012, 3:09:51 (~7:14/mi)
Surf City Marathon 2013, 3:05:30 (~7:04/mi)
Carlsbad Marathon 2014, 3:05:31 (~7:04/mi)
It's like he's targeting 5 min increments/improvements on his finishing times. Sure, people train for round-numbered goal times frequently, but if you're crushing it out there winning age group awards right and left, you'd think he's have some odd times in there, like a 3:03 or something where he's kicking it to the finish. But three marathons in less than 3 years, all with finishing times within 6 seconds? (two 3:19:59s, one 3:19:53).
Also it's interesting how many of his half-marathon paces are almost exactly the same as his marathon paces. I dunno, maybe he's running the HM at FM pace for training, and never really runs all-out for a HM or 10k. But it's pretty suspicious that so many of his finishing paces are so close together regardless of the distance.

The poster's sarcasm was obviously too much for you to decipher little man. I got it the first time I read it. Too deep for you, eh?

But then why I am looking like an ironic prick when I'm posting on the thread? I need to go back and look in the mirror.
You hit the nail on the head with the "hopefully the wrongs will be made right" bit.
Until it is, with Meza and the other apologists coming clean, it'll do what all the other clear cut cheater threads do, keep kicking along, get bigger and go main stream viral.
The ones where the miscreants come clean quickly disappear.
