Don’t have kids if you don’t want to care for kids. If you are worried about career or don’t want to live without things, live without kids. Parents will live about 60 years of their child’s lifetime but only have real impact and full time interaction the first 5 years of their life and some of you don’t want to make that 5 year commitment.
Think about some of the people you admire - President Trump? Serena Williams? Should they sacrifice lifelong careers to have children?
Kids are immensely resilient, I’m sure you’d agree, having a stay-at-home parent for four years will not affect their fortune in life.
I have one child in college and I’m absolutely convinced that whether she went to day care or had a stay at home parent she would absolutely be the same kid she is today.
