The ultimate travel story would be: they kick her off and then the plane crashes. Ooof!
God forbid a woman is confident and comfortable in her own body and chooses to express that in the way she wants, right?
Maybe it's time to reevaluate your own morals if you feel automatically inclined to associate someone's choice of dress with their character and sexuality. She looks comfortable. She is wearing a crop top on a flight to a warmer destination. She was probably excited about her vacation and wanted to wear something to reflect that... Just because there is less fabric involved than you see fit I don't see why it is necessary to equate that with "slutty."
It is the inalienable right of everyone of a certain age to treat the wider world as an extension of their living room, to do whatever they please. That's because they own it all. Then they grow up.

Is there anything you don't whinge about?
Why is it that only humans feel a need to wear clothes when out in public?
When you’re in a dog park, you see a German shepherd and you think it’s so cute! Or you see a husky or a Labrador and you only think about them being cute.
But those dogs aren’t wearing anything. They got no underwear or socks or even a shirt. If they decide to roll around or play dead, they’ll be indecently exposed.
Anyways I enjoyed wearing very inappropriate clothing while out in public. I once wore split shorts while eating at an Apple Bees.
I was also on the subway and manspreading and a guy told me to cover my legs. He was saying it aggressively. I didn’t close my legs and instead opened it up wider.
(FYI, I wear underwear under my split shorts).

Ummm...why?
I wear underwear underneath my split shorts in case someone pants me, or I run somewhere and a branch pierces my shorts and I still have some coverage left. I also wear underwear because my wang swings side to side.
I remember when I used to do training runs in justness split shorts. You could see me being free.
You know, I kind of agree with Thomas Cook although not the way they apparently handled it. You're sitting on a plane, right next to someone. Similar to a restaurant. There are rules, you're in public, you can't wear simply anything.
If the top came down over her waistband it would be fine. It's the fact her stomach is exposed so it's a crop top, although it basically looks the same as a lot of bras.
Men can't go topless on a plane, I couldn't get on a plane in a nike crop top and shorts I'm sure. I understand that what she's wearing would be 100% fine on a beach, or walking down the street in Tenerife, or Birmingham tbh, but I think with a plane you have to afford a certain level of courtesy to fellow passengers and having your bare back/stomach skin pressed onto a seat, I'm just not sure.
Otherwise where does it stop - are bras OK to wear on? Cos I can't tell the difference between that and the bras in urban outfitters. Some of them are identical.
I just feel there has to be a line somewhere. Obviously the trousers (and most shorts) are completely fine, T shirts and vest tops fine too, with spaghetti straps. But it's the cut off/stomach thing.
Thomas Cook sucks.
Avoid it if you can.

If they're going to start throwing people off of planes for dressing like slobs, I and the other five remaining passengers are going to have a lot of leg room on my next flight.
Well said. Let me guess, these males criticising her think nothing of wearing a hat yanked down over their eyes and flip flops.
How can you yank your hat down over your flip-flops?
I am actually not sure what you are trying to say here... care to rephrase this?

When will you grow up lil man? Control freaks like you and several others in this thread need to get over yourselves.

The thing is, I'd wager that most of the people wanting this fit young bird to cover up are other women.
She looks great in that top and I would be stoked to have her sit next to me on a flight. However, the vast majority of people would look super gross in that outfit. Y'all want to spend several hours sitting in a cramped seat next to an overweight 60 year old woman wearing the same thing? No thank you! I don't have a problem with her being asked to cover up, but the airline clearly went about it in an inappropriate manner.
