Gordini Stash Lite mitts keep my hands warm even at -25 C°. Expect your hands to be kinda wet sometimes but I'll take this over numb fingers any day.
I'm on team sock mittens.
For me, mittens are warmer than gloves on a cold day because, since gloves are longer than mittens, there is a higher chance that heat might not be contained or trapped inside the gloves. This makes mittens warmer than gloves. Seams for hand clothing gear translate to insulation. With mittens having fewer seams, there is less chance that heat can escape from the fabric. The last, fingers occupying the same space, is warmer than using gloves.
A nice set that's fairly inexpensive, and reflective for pre-dawn or dusk running to boot:
Simply add a liner glove underneath for the gnarliest cold and windy days.
Gloves vs mittens are both protective hand warmers that offer comfort and prevent you from freezing outside. They give different levels of protection and vary in terms of design, material, and dexterity. I absolutely prefer gloves over mittens for running in the cold.
Maybe below 10 degrees would be different.
But temps around freezing are glove worthy.
Look up manzella. You're welcome.
Back in the day when I was running in college I used gloves when it was cold outside. When it was really cold I would use wool mittens as they provide the best warmth. Anyone who has ever skied, hiked in winter, snowshoe, alpine climb etc. knows that mittens far surpass gloves for keeping your hands warm.

These are great! I had a pair for years but lost one. I was never cold in these even down below 10 F (and I have to wear gloves/mittens any time it is below 50).
Also, never too warm because you can just remove a layer. They weren't in stock for the last couple of years. Thanks for posting the link.
