Why does Mario Fraioli keep endorsing, retweating and soft promoting Jason Koop while bashing Salazar and NOP at every turn?
Very clear line of connection between Koop/Carmichael and doping, more so then there is for NOP.
Chris Carmichael was known for most of the 1990's and 2000's for being one of the dirtiest coaches in cycling. He was Lance Armstrong's coach, Lances testified that Carmichael knew of and was on board with his doping, and Carmichael was the subject of a large lawsuit by 2 Team US Jr. Cyclists (when Carmichael was the team coach) who were doped so heavily by Carmichael that they had long term health issues as a result. No real question in anyone's mind Carmichael is dirty.
Carmichael started Carmichael Training Systems (CTS) and hired Koop as his head of coaching. Koop uses Carmichael's training system and methods and was fully mentored by Chris and uses a system so backwards that to most highly trained coaches it clearly would only work best when an athlete dopes. Koop has freely choosen to work for and help enrich Carmichael for over a decade, even after the Armstrong doping came to light.
Fraioli goes after drug cheats any chance he gets (as long as he doesn't like them) but gives Koop and CTS a free pass. Why the clear double standard Mario?
While Jason Koop appears to be a "nice guy" and engaging, he is clearly the pawn of the "Sith Lord".
Are your convictions so shallow you only go after those who are more gruff and give free passes to anyone who is nice to you. Personalities have nothing to do with doping. You lose credibility when you give one person with clear connections a free pass because you like them and take to task another because you don't like them.
Another case of lack of journalistic integrity.
