In 1962, the National Film Board of Canada released a ten minute movie called "Runner" featuring Bruce Kidd with a supporting cast of Coach Fred Foot, Bil Crothers, David Bailey and a few other members of the East york Track Club. The movie gives a partial picture of how runners and running was in the early 1960s. It ends with a partial showing of a two mile race between Bruce Kidd, Laszlo Tabori, Max Truex, Ron Wallingford and a couuple of other runners. I saw it last week for the first time since 1962.
