-3.5 mile tempo outside @ 5:55 (5:55, 5:54, 5:56, 5:54 pace splits) pace two weeks ago
-Goal of 27:30 flat 8k in 8 race weeks from tempo
If it wasn't too icy outside, I'd go by feel and probably fall somewhere between 5:45-6:05/mile, but since I'm on the treadmill, I have to structure the pace. What pace would be best?
My intuition tells me 1 of the following (1 % incline no matter what):
4 miles consistent at 10.1 mph (5:56 pace) OR
4 miles @ 9.9, 10, 10.1, and 10.2 mph (~5:58 pace average)
What do the letsrun coaches think?
