Alec Baldwin narrates for PETA and wildlife shows where animals get eaten alive.
It's mostly the money.
A local weatherman celebrated his 40th birthday by running 40 miles while on the air. He invited viewers to join him and the station reported his quest live on the morning, noon, and evening broadcasts. He started on the morning show at 5:00AM and finished during the 6:00PM evening broadcast. Most of the live shots showed him "wogging" with some housewife power walkers surrounding him. Do the math. 40 miles in about 12 hours - not that huge a task for someone that already runs a bit.
13 miles by a wealthy actor with no time constraints is easy. 6.5 mile AM run on grass in some park at 10-12 minute pace with some walking breaks, followed by a three hour nap, finish the evening with a 6.5 mile PM run on grass, beach, or trails and get an hour massage. Repeat the next day.
Money and privacy would also not be an issue so, I wouldn't be surprised if he visited a "Men's Clinic" each day for some HGH, T gel, IV drips of l-Carnitine, etc.

Damon's brother has raced Ironman triathlon before...so I'm sure Damon is quite an athlete.
I've done an IRONMAN and I assure you, my brother is not an athlete. Neither is my sister.

And coke and meth (good for high metabolism).

Damon is also familiar with the Boston Marathon bombers. He went to the same high school.

I just said "familiar" I didnt say part of the plot.
He knew their teachers and coaches, esp. their shared wrestling coach, pot dealer, etc.
Um, that doesn't make him familiar with them.

Running 13 miles everyday is not hard at all for me. What's hard is soreness that goes with it.
Unless you are a well trained athlete -or someone with years a running experience, 13 miles everyday is definitely difficult. Most weekend warriors and certainly celeberties don't run nearly that much even if they are training for a marathon.

I'm going with this. 13 were probably his long days. I'd imagine it being more like 3-4 miles 3 times a day at a slow pace with walk breaks. The rest of the day was spent at the spa
The last time I tried to couple 80+ mpw average with weight loss (and only 20 pounds, not 60), I wound up with a stress fracture within 2 months. It's kind of surprising that he made it through this.

Tom-we haven't seen it. Is there a way for people to watch it on the web?

Does that qualify him for a 13.1 sticker on his Lambo?

Editor's Note: Here is what Damon said about losing the weight:
"I weigh probably 190 pounds right now, and I weighed 139 in that movie, and that is not a natural weight for me and not a happy weight for me even when I was 25."
190 pounds is quite heavy.
We all know that miles are only real when we can see them on strava :)
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
