There is a reason she's your ex. Someone better will come along eventually. Do things to distract yourself like hang out with friends, learn how to cook, go volunteer... Like you, despite having felt like I got over it, I felt hurt seeing it. We broke up after a very embarrassing and public moment for me so it dredged up all that unpleasantness.
I think it really came down to unintentionally bearing witness in a way to her single life. It’s sort of a new phenomenon when you think about it with social media offering a window into the lives of people who would otherwise be, for all intents and purposes, dead to you.
So I swiped left and then carried on with my life. I deleted Bumble and started swiping right in real life and approaching women I found attractive. I still think of the ex from time to time as I’ve just been dating casually, but it’s never with longing anymore. Usually it’s with a “thank god that’s over” mindset.
I suggest pumping more iron, dressing better, and figuring yourself out. Not sure how old you are, but I’ve had enough exes or girls who rejected me faceplant into the wall (i.e. weight gain, financial troubles, bad relationships, etc.) to know that one women’s opinion of you is truly meaningless.
It is a good idea to talk to the wise ones instead of forming your own egoes and forging ahead. Remember we have duties to the community and need to grow as people. What a waste all this social dating and sex is if we can’t make at least some good works come to pass and as for that I recommend singing, chivalry, remembrance and meditation practice, dancing, art, prayer, reading, study of languages and wise people, study of history.
