I just ran a 43-minute 10k this weekend, with the temperature at around 65 degrees with 95% humidity.
That works out to just under a 7 minute mile pace with dew points in the low or mid 60's.
It was humid but doable and not exactly miserable, but I was sweating a lot and pouring water over my head.
I train very minimally and run 1-3 times per week, anywhere from 2-10 miles per week. This is due to my busy work schedule, which will hopefully lessen out next year.
I know this is a hobby jogging time for many of you guys out there, but I did this on very little training. I train just enough to be able to run, that's it.
I've been running for about a year now after not running for about 10 years since my high school cross country days.
In my late 20's now.
BMI of 20 and naturally ectomorph body with long, skinny limbs.
I tend to like middle distance better than long distance, so I would run a 5k over a marathon any day.
What is my potential for the 5k and 10k if I train nearly every everyday and up my mileage to 20-30 mpw? Thanks.
