Long term, if you plan on having a family and don’t mind moving I vote for the Military. I vote Army but I’m biased. Had I been young enough I would have gone Air Force....better facilities typically.
Most bachelor degrees aren’t worth much as far as career goes. Anyone telling you otherwise is too young to know better. That being said, the bachelor degree is becoming like the high school diploma, but.....
I have a BS in Exercise Science, worked in corporate wellness for 6 years and did some personal training on the side and I make about twice as much in the Army as I did then.
You can’t beat the benefits. Deployment or ending up in a crappy duty station is a roll of the dice, but you can manage that with job selection. I’ve been in 8 years and no deployment.
There are some idiots in the Army but also a lot of bright people, again it depends on your job.
As far as college goes, you could do online classes and get them paid for through military tuition assistance programs. I’m getting my masters paid for now. Are online courses less than stellar? Sure. Are programs with lower tuition designed to meet the military tuition assistance cap less than stellar? Sure. Most of the real world doesn’t care where your degree came from. Mostly college shows that you can set a goal and accomplish it. Nothing more, again that’s major specific. Most majors aren’t career minded.
