Give Zatopek today's tracks and shoes and he runs 3:48 for sure. Give him Dibaba's drugs and Zatopek runs 3:44. No contest.

Rumor has it that Dibaba shaved the word "Noel" in her back hair.
That's really showing the old holiday spirit! May you get many syringes in you stocking this year!
Zatopek competed in the 1940s and 50s.
During those days you had to get up at night
and shovel coal into your furnace or you
would freeze to death in his native
Czechoslovakia.
Also they got sick more often, nutrition
was poor. Medicine was primitive.
Coaches knew very little and
nothing was written about sport.
He was wearing 5 pound bowling shoes
and running on dirt, clay, and grass tracks.
He also rarely ran the 1500.
Cars were much more scarce and you
had to walk everywhere. Times were tough,
they did not have the money we have today.
Almost everyone was poor.
If Zatopek had been born when sweet Genebe
Dibaba was he would have won by 50 yards.
It is a bit like asking who wins in a tennis match between Serena Williams and Pancho Gonzales, both in their prime. Pancho wins for sure.
Genzebe would win my heart.
