UNC will be Andrea guaranteed. She has told everyone she is set there. She wouldn’t have left ISU without the guarantee when Harlis left.

I know they posted the UNC position by law, but I sure hope they see who applies beyond Andrea and Bobby if they want to go distance emphasis. That job could be too good in distance area!

UNC posting may be demise of Andrea. Even if she’s frontrunner, too many great coaches see potential that will trump her. Next week will be fun!

Have you ever had an actual conversation with a Power 5 administrator? Andrea will be the next director.

Among other candidates, heard Mike McGuire is interested. Also, heard Milt has been targeted. Van Hoy, who is an alum and coached there wanted to return. If these types are applying, UNC Adminiatration has to listen.

You would think however none of them are women. Game over.

UNC administration is not “targeting “ anyone because they don’t know or care squat about track.

They don’t need to “target”. I know better than to give too much credit to athletic administrators. They can see when these people send their application in what they’ve achieved compared to Andrea. If McGuire or Milt is actually interested, that is game over. Vanhoy is equal to Andrea (tie goes to the woman)

You don't know anything. 1) these guys aren't sending in applications. 2) the administrators have no idea how to evaluate good or bad coaches. They have Andrea in house and have had a year to see how she operates. If they like her and intend to hire a distance-oriented director, its hers. If they don't, its open.

KD is an easy target so some people like to talk crap about him. I spent some time with him at NB Nationals this weekend and he hasn't interviewed anywhere, he's happy at Ohio State.

What I do hear in the rumor mill is there are going to be some very interesting moves in the next few weeks, it's just heating up!!

It's common knowledge from reliable sources that KD interviewed at Cal and wasn't even offered the position, so not surprising that he's now claiming he never interviewed. SO He makes himself an easy target because he talks a big game but can't get a head coach position.

If you have knowledge of that then great, I just heard from him that he is happy where he is and hasn't been looking.

As far as him as a target,it's easy because he is an Olympian so it makes sense that whatever he says is normally taken out of context.

Little Rock hired a Throws Coach, it wasn't Alan Webb.

Rebuilding at Ole Miss? A red herring put out by some Price fan-boy. Head coach has had three years to get a team of her own (besides the ones she brought from Southern Illinois who have now cycled out.) while basking in the glory of what the previous coach (Brian O'Neal)put together for her. Now they get 11th and 12th at SEC meet and last (no points at NCAA). She brings not much to the program and it is showing. Distance is scoring all the points. Make the XC coach the head coach and you guys wont be talking about him going to UNC.
