Whats the issue? She was a great runner AT UCONN, she volunteered at a P5 and assisted at a mid major. Now she gets to head up another mid major. Whats wrong with this? Am I missing something?
Normally on on the other side, complaining about underqualified women getting hired but Crevoiserat is actually a really good pick.
First, to be honest, this is an assistant coach job with a head coach title for Title 9 reasons. Greg Roy is one of the best coaches out there and he is a great teacher. She will learn a ton from Roy in a short period of time.
And it's important to hire a coach that wants to be there for a long time. They had success under Grove-McDonough but she was just using it to get another job. JJ came in and used it as a stepping stone to Stanford. Crevoiserat will probably be at UCONN for the rest of her career since she is an alum and as a CT native. She has great recruiting connections in the state, too.
