Last of the Mohicans...VERY underrated!!!
But I still stand by One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
I agree. When the old man lops that guy's head off in the end.......priceless. Ranks right up there w/ Mel Gibson smashing the guy in the head w/the ball and chain in Braveheart.

Magua, the Indian bad guy in 'Last of the Mohicans', is one of the most evil villains ever in a movie, but you kind of feel a little empathy for the guy when he tells his story of why he wants to kill the 'Grey-Hair' and his children.

I'd say that first list just about does it, but maybe I'm just biased because I love Lars of Arabia so much. My top 5 list would probably go:
Lawrence of Arabia
Casablanca
Citizen Kane
Manchurian Candidate
Jules et Jim
(Royal Tenenbaums and Apocalypse Now get my honorable mentions. 2001: A Space Odyssey couldn't be on the list because I haven't yet seen it. It's a top priority, though.)
By the way, I was born in 1984.
"Rochelle Rochelle," a young woman's erotic journey from Milan to Minske....
I'm more of a fan of "Sack Lunch" and "Prognosis Negative."
Is that a musical or a movie? Wasn't Bette Midler in it?
thanks for the laugh!!
Shawshank Redemption, hands down. And I am a fan of classic movies and still think this is the best.
tonight goes down as one of my favorite nights for movies in a long while. i flipped through and watched part of gladiator, animal house, office space, pulp fiction, and field of dreams. all of these on regular cable. while none of these is my favorite or the best movie ever they are all watchable many times over and some even mentioned in this thread.
