I think hes talking about the one at the intersection of 16th st and alabama ave. very clearly a 6 lane rubber track, but no start finish line, exchange zones, etc.

I am guessing there may be some 440yd tracks out there which equates to about 402m. Not much but 402 > 400
Also, there is an 800m rubberized track on the Nike campus in Oregon where the Schumacher and Salazar groups work out. From the photos Ive seen, it is forested all around, and on the infield. I wish there were more tracks like that. It would make summer workouts so much more pleasant to be able to run them in the shade.

I have seen pictures. As beautiful as that is, it must be a pain to not be able to see your runners for 300m at a time...

I wanna see a 600-800m track in the shape of a figure 8 with an overpass.

that track is only 400m. But definitely the coolest track around.

I thought John Landy was Australian. You linked a satelite image of a park in McLean, Virginia, US. Am I missing something here?
maybe something's up with your computer because that's definitely a link to an australian park. 17 Kingston St, Malvern East VIC 3145, Australia
Utah's Olympic speed skating oval also has a ~450m indoor mondo track around the ice sheet. Really awesome when our air quality gets miserable mid-winter. Surprised no one has put together a bigger meet there.
