I know this forum is full of soy-filled centrists obsessed with putting forth some weak veneer of respectability... but when something stinks, it stinks.
Lukas V arrived in this country, and soon after, supposedly as a teenager, began to drop utterly ridiculous times relative to his peers. Rumblings about his age surfaced, and a quick excuse was concocted ("Oh, I promise, he's only one year overage.") In actuality, he was 4-5 years older than the high schoolers he was crushing.
Come college, he's cut from his "source" (mommy), and actually has to compete against grown adults. Not so fun anymore, eh? Throws a tantrum, ragequits, the rest is history.
We saw his potential. He was running 14:00 5Ks in his early 20s and likely wouldn't have gotten much faster.
Leave this dude behind and celebrate the legit high school phenoms.
