Thinking about adding some popcorn into my diet as a mid-morning snack between breakfast and lunch as I have about 4 and half hours between the two. Is plain popcorn a good food/carb for runners?

It's excellent.
Good to know.
air-popped pop corn has very little calories.
I’m not concerned about calories really because I eat a ton and am already underweight. I just want to know if popcorn had beneficial nutrients for running.
I assume it's just basicly corn and as such, it healthy enough. Everything i heard nutritionally about popcorn had to do with the detrimental affects of what it was made in, like oils and butter, or too much salt.
The only parts good for you are the butter and salt. Carbs you can do without. Also the calories aren’t little, they have no size. If you were fat adapted, you have no need for nor interest in snacks.

Which mental institution are you typing this from?
Actually everything Keto Man posted was true, what can you refute? You types eating the S.A.D. can't go 2 hours without feeling faint and having to cram down carbs, maintaining your inflamed cells.
Popcorn is the best snack! Don’t we love our popcorn, folks? Don’t we?

It's true:

Popcorn can be a beneficial snack option for runners due to its carbohydrate content, which provides energy and its low-fat content. However, it's important to consider portion size and preparation methods.
Air-popped or lightly seasoned popcorn without excessive butter or salt can be a healthy choice for runners as part of a balanced diet.
