(hobbyjogger stats)
My coach for the last 2 years has had me doing 50-60 MPW on 2-3 workouts per week.
Example;
M- Easy
T- Speed workout
W- Easy
Thu- Tempo
Friday- Off
Sat - short speed/or medium distance
Sun- Long (alternating long run workouts)
Going to start training for Boston 1/1. Wanted to know if I should continue this style training for my first sub 3 in Boston. Or do you think with my current speed/race times, that I would get more benefit from higher mileage per week, with 1 day less workouts, and maybe being more consistent in the gym doing strength workouts.
