Seems tragic. I still feel more sorry for the innocent girls for whom this must have been terrifying, but it’s also sad to see a very young man’s life destroyed by a bad trip.
Nah man, it's sad when a kid's life is destroyed by an unfortunate accident or losing a limb in war, etc.
He chose to spend his day doing drugs. There are inherent risks involved. He knew it was illegal.
I believe that people can take psychedelics responsibly. He should have been more prepared for his experience. The responsibility falls on him and he needs to see punishment.
Taking drugs and trying to rape women should never not lead to jail time.
If he indeed took the drugs he expected to take and the amount he expected. If he bought LSD and instead the dealer gave him PCP without telling him, that’s a different story. His behavior seems so bizarre that it does seem possible something else was going on.
It’s no different than if someone spikes your drink. You’re at a bar and someone puts drugs in your drink. You are choosing to drink alcohol but not take the drugs put in it. If you went out and acted crazy due to the drugs placed in your drink should you be held responsible?
Again, he may well not have had his LSD laced, but given his crazy behavior it does seem possible.
Say no to drugs, kids.
