I listen to the sound of silence.

Sounds depressing dude.

Earbuds are uncomfortable or don't stay put if you are doing your runs at sub-6 mile pace. And who would want to drag unwieldy electronic devices around with them at that kind of pace. Let me know if you can find a solution to this problem.
I listen:
to my breathing. And if others are there, their breathing. Listen to my lap times being called out.
I don't run around with a phone in my hand and plugs in my ears.
I use Sony waterproof earphones - mp3 player is embedded in the earpiece. Nothing to drag, nothing getting in the way - ran 1:16 Half using them, so no issues with sub-6 pace either...
As to the OP's question, currently -
Tame Impala: Currents
MGMT: Little Dark Age
Twista: Kamikaze
Jay-Z & Kanye: Watch The Throne
Saint Etienne: Finnestre
Justice: Woman Worldwide
10cc: Best Of Early Years
I always have music in my head. Don't need no devices.
But George Benson is an incredible musician, I'll give you that.
I like upbeat 80's, EDM, Pop, Rock, Country, Latin, Reggae, R&B, Rap, Xmas, etc.
Earth Wind & Fire, Huey Lewis, Zapp and Roger
Skrillex - obnoxious but pumps you up
Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, Tom Waits, Dr. John, Steely Dan
Audioslave, Santana, CCR, Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Stone Temple Pilots
Guy Clark, The Eagles, Waylon Jennings
Los Lobos, Gipsy Kings
Bob Marley
Bill Withers, Otis Redding
Bone Thugs N Harmony, Camron, Nas
Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Roger Whittaker
I also like classical, jazz, and blues but they don't have a good tempo for running

Nice tastes.
Ska/ punk from the mid 90s to today's styles. It's not for everybody, but I dig it.
I don't listen to tunes when I run because i am so vastly superior in my own eyes, and if wearing earbuds even appears like a hobby jogger thing, it certainly would not be appropriate for a runner of my caliber.
But when i finish my workouts and get somewhere where i can look at myself in the mirror (for a long time), I like to listen to anything that won't distract me from looking at myself in the mirror. It could be anything, really, since i am more focused on that.

you pound too much on your runs if earbuds can't stay put sub 6...Running is supposed to be smooth
I only listen to music on easy runs.. I still like Pandora and lately I have listened to The Killers channel the most, Violent Femmes some, Todd Snider, the Black Keys, and LCD Soundsystem.
I'm sure there are a multitude of runners on here involved with music in anywhere from a passionate to professional level, but being on the more serious end of that spectrum, a large part of why I run is to get away from the noise, music or other.

I jogged so far today it gave me the runs. By the time I downed that 10th Gu, they were going right through me.
