Says the old man stuck in his biased frame of mind. No doubt males on average run faster than females, but there are always outliers on both ends of the bell shaped curve who are ill served by the current tradition of separating genders both on and off the track. Perhaps kids should be categorized by their times instead of gender. If you're over a certain mark, you run with others of that mark.
