53:31 for Thweatt and Crouch; 53:43 for Gwen
I like how Crouch gets no hype and is competing for top American.
Pappas is falling back even more.

Is anyone able to get any action from the HD settings in the feed, picture is just as bad for me in either of the 3 positions :-(
Splits so far
5k - 14:52 - 2:05:15 pace
10k - 30:10- 2:07:04 pace
15k - 45:04- 2:06:34 pace
20k- 59:49 - 2:05:59 pace, back into record territory, I feel a big negetive split coming at the end of this race.

Go Smoove, beat Gwen and Alexi for bragging rights.

Go Smoove!
The race will not come down to a kick. Let's be real.
Rupp and the Kiruis are looking strong right behind the pacers as they near halfway, while Farah is at the very back of the lead pack, which is stringing out.
Now it looks as if Farah is getting dropped as there's about 20 meters between him and the front of the lead pack.
Sure looks like mo might be falling off
1:03:07 at halfway

Heavy rain!
This could be good for Rupp, who trains year-round in the Northwest. Farah shouldn't mind it.
Generally Kenyans hate running in the rain.
63:03 at the half. Easy neg splits to PR for Mo and Galen?

Interesting to see what happens to Farah.
But Rupp looking to push the pace. I think he wants that American record. 1:03:03 at half.

62:03 at halfway. Farah is 3 seconds off the front pack, and there is a gap.
Now just after halfway Farah has made a move to bridge the gap. He is now back in the front pack.

Half- 1:03:03 - 2:06:06 pace
Rupp is looking good.
Is Mo conserving energy by staying in the back, or is it looking like he's having trouble staying up there?

I've run 32min for 10k and my marathon pace would be 35-36, which is how it sould be based on calculators. 34 would be suicidal
Well, that means you should be able to race a much faster marathon, which is of course no problem because you aren't a professional runner, but for someone like Gwen who was solely training to get in marathon shape it's really embarrassing that now even her tune up races (where she said she only focuses on marathon training) are much better compared to 2:31.

Then don't blather about who is "MIA."
They're on a tailwind section now for about 3k. We may see it string out a bit here.
Or not, because this is the Chicago marathon...

Yep, "Sir Mo" doing a "London" again, except the pace of the first half is not exactly the same. Rupp to keep pushing to show "Sir Mo" who's boss !
Rain in second half of race def favors Rupp over Mo. Mo is getting bored- there’s not enough fans on the side of the road worshipping him.
