Brooks does, its the Revel, Launch, or Ravenna, all for $100. Its all I run in because its the most quality per dollar in my opinion.

Because people like you are still buying them for that price.
Sub2 attempts ain't cheap
I've done the expensive shoe route. I've been really fast, too.
Now I run in Asics Gel Ventures, which I get from Kohls for 50 to 60. They're as good as any other out there.

When I was in high school, actual runners were the only people who were buying running shoes. Running shoes weren’t super expensive in those days. At some point, random people started wearing them as everyday shoes (Europeans now recognize American tourists groups from a distance by their characteristic blue jeans with running shoes combo). Increased demand leads to increased price.
Same idea as basketball shoes in the ‘80s and ‘90s. Once athletic gear becomes everyday wear, the price skyrockets.
This isn't how it works bud.

Correct. They identify them because they are usually screaming at a foreign person and wondering why they aren't being understood.

Typically (barring sales) you will have to spend $100 to purchase a good running shoe.
I've been running in the Saucony Kinvara and NB Zantes the last few years. I buy last year's model when they go on closeout (usually running warehouse).
That means I'm running in Kinvara 7s and 8s and Zante 2s and 3s. I'll move up to the Kinvara 9 and Zante v4 when the Kinvara 10 and v5 come out.
The last purchase I made was April 2018, and here is what I paid:
New Balance Zante v3 Men, 11.0 D 1 40.70
Saucony Kinvara 8 Men, 11.0 D 1 62.80
