Just went for a 3 mile shakeout run this morning. I
Weighed in at 201 lbs this morning. Excited to soon get under 200 lbs for the first time in a very long time. Spent the first month of quarantine backsliding... eating crap, drinking a lot, and still running, but about 4 weeks ago I decided enough is enough and got recommitted to losing weight.
The last two weeks I've stuck to 1500 calories, doing insanity max 30, and two shorter runs am and pm. My mileage & pace is down due to the low calories, but the weight has been coming off, which will be worth it in the long run. Dealt with a hip injury the first month of quarantine but thankful it's gone now.
Once I get my weight down to 176, I'm going to switch back to normal calories and get down to 165 (my college racing weight) by just doing higher mileage.
