As we all know the 4% works on half and fulls, what about a 10k?

I don't use them for anything under a half. I might consider a 10 miler. But for 5 and 10K pace they just feel too mushy. I even tried them in a mile race but it just seemed like they absorbed too much power.

Thought as much, cheers.
How about the energy return?
The elite marathon guys run 4:40 pace in them, so unless you’re planning on faster than that in your 10k I think it’d be fine.
But are they responsive?
I recently ran a 10k in them and just like in the marathon, I did not feel like they helped ( the pace I was running felt similar to that pace in the adios) until the last 1/3 of the race. They helped tremendously the last 2 miles. Leg fatigue does not set in as much in these shoes no matter the distance.

Bingo. Knock it off with the "they're only for marathon" crap. They're for going fast. Plain and simple.
I used my 4% for big PR’s in the 10K and 5K (I although I haven’t raced 5K or 10K seriously since high school XC/track 26+ years ago) just in the last few months.. seems to have worked out for me. I would do all of my road races 5K and up in the 4%. I would probably use Streak LT4 for track races and road races shorter than 5K(haven’t done these yet but I plan to do so).
Urine idiot. Slow and soft for 5k but great for marathon?

That's how they feel to me too. They definitely don't feel like a fast shoe.
Maybe they actually would be good for a 5k or 10k, but I don't like the feel at those faster paces.
And to the person who said that elite marathoners wear the 4% while running at 4:40 pace, I'm not sure that answers the question. First of all, a mere mortal running at 4:40 pace has a different stride than an elite marathoner. In my experience, when my stride rate kicks up over 190 and I'm running almost totally on my forefoot, the 4% feels like it's getting in the way. I'd rather have a track spike or super minimal shoe in that situation. Also, you don't have to be an elite runner to have a finishing kick that's significantly faster than 4:40 pace, and in the 5k especially, that last minute of the race can be decisive.
I use mu Zoom Fly's for marathons and the vaporfly 4% for 5 K's .
Raced no other distances last year.
I improved both my marathon times and my 5K PR.
