If hall is a 2:04 guy, is Kipchoge a 2:00 guy?
No he is a 2:03 guy or 2:03 marathoner. He has never run 2:00 in a real marathon. that's just plain silly.

Hall ran like a man possessed up front basically PACING the eventual winners. HE made it much more attainable for them to get to 2:03. Boston had tailwinds many years. Where's all the other 2:03s, 2:04s??? There were countless 2:10+ winners with tailwinds. Gettoutahere worm.
Mutai, the winner, ran his real PB (2:04:15) in Berlin a year later. He had Kamworor and Kimetto pushing him.
Are you trying to say Ryan Hall is a bigger advantage than running in Berlin and having Kimetto and Kamworor as competition?
Does it matter what time Mutai ran the following year? He could have been in worse shape than he was for Boston the year prior. How do you know? Every marathon is different, and even for the same one's the conditions are different every time, the motivation is different, runner's health is different. For all we know, Mutai and Mosop could have been in the best shape of their lives and felt great that day. They could have ran 2:03 flat in Berlin as well. How do you know?

He doesn't know what he's saying, he's an idiot.

Triggered little girl with no brain, eh? Hall ran up front at that pace BECAUSE of the wind. No one ever ran that close again dipsh*t.
No, rarely tailwinds like that with that kind of talent.
You're either mental or just a plain ole' hobby jogger who is trying to sound smart to his fellow cubicle rats.
Countless 2:10+ winners with tailwinds? You're a simpleton little girl, off you go now>>>runner's world would be more of your flavor.

but hell, I've more problems than I can count. but, next week I'm breaking 24 for the 5k at the local joggathon:):):):)

He wasn't even the greatest American marathoner of his generation.

I get what you are saying but until an American runs 2:04:58, people are always going to remember Ryan Hall's 2:04:58. That's why I say he's a 2:04 guy.
I remember a 20mph tail wind parachuting people to the finish
Yes, but Hall did run 2:04:58 on a legit marathon course, albeit very aided that day.
The clock don't lie.
And I am Calling out the retard. I changed my handle to pee wee wee because I was made to look like a fool by that one poster. I guess I am a fool.

Point to point.
Net downhill.
Big tailwind.
Best weather in years.
See Desi's time that day as well.
Albeit very aided? At least 2 posters have already posted that.
Do try to keep up mate.
He ran 2:06:17 in London. That is his best legal time. He had the opportunity to go to Berlin to run at his best, but he went after the paychecks instead.
Yeah, there were crazy winds that day propelling everyone to massive PBs. Oh wait. Like only 4 people got PBs?? my bad.
Yeah, the women were propelled to WR breaking times. NOT! They couldn't even get below 2:22!!
The guy that won Boston the year prior- Cheriyout. yeah that guy. The guy that ran 2:05 in Boston in 2010. What does he run in Boston in 2011? 2:01? No, he runs a 2:06:43. Oh my god, what?! Actually, his Boston 2011 time was slower than his Frankfurt time. How could that be?? It was a wind tunnel! It was 400 mph tailwinds!! It was a vacuum! I don't get it!

Agreed - science is overrated! Anecdotal support for the win(d)!
My wife got a 11 minute PR in Boston on that day. She hasn't come close since. Many of our friends had significantly better than expected times on that day. The wind effect was real. As a 20mph headwind would also be real to runners.
Certainly many people blew up too. Runners try to outrun their fitness from the start at Boston every year. Always fun to see them staggering into the finish
Ya, I got a 3 minute PB on an 80 degree Boston. That heat must really help.

Ryan is a 2:04 guy period. And it is the fastest time run by an american runner. period. And that is what Rupp is chasing.
And Ryan did that at the age of 28!
talking about best legal time.
FOH.

You're comparing something scientifically supported to something scientifically refuted. That doesn't make for a good argument.

and Rupp has never run it. Rupp fan boys just hate the fact that Hall was a faster runner, and just beyond naturally gifted with NO DRUGS. Can't say the same about rupp and NOP>

There is a difference between a REAL MARATHON and a CIRCUS ACT. but continue to entertain yourself.
You're comparing kipchoge's science project against Hall running the BOSTON MARATHON? Hall ran one of the greatest marathons ever because he paced Mutai to the fastest time ever at that time. All the africans thanked him for basically making that race and pacing it.
Rupp fan boys are so threatened by Hall it is ridiculous.
