Most of the information you want can be found in the Championship Handbook, which can be found at the link below.
The meet schedule is in the section "General Administration" and the section "Determination of Participants" outlines the procedure for selecting the fields. It would be difficult to predict the number of competitors in each event, but the numbers from previous years provide a guide. The link for last year's men's entries is:
