Emma could do it as well, but of course she’s older and she also did indoors this year. (I think Courtney only did a CC race or two?)
Until your post I thought of Emma's ceiling as being higher as she's faster. 4:05/8:41 for 1500/3000. Frerichs has never broken 4:14 for 1500 which is hard to believe. Frerich's must have the better endurance and is working on her speed clearly.
But right now Frerich's could slay some of her shorter and longer PRs I bet. The 9:00 is an outlier but she showed she can peak at the right time.
I'm not sure how Frerichs will do after a month long break. Emma I'm confident will be ready to go.
I think I'm leaning with Emma because she has more top level performances but if Frerich's is going to a whole differnet level that doesn't matter.
