Ever since the summer started kicked off a cool day is 80 degrees by 8am in Ohio.
Body just feels weak and sluggish eating a lot and hydrating more and still feel it. Just weak and slow with general feeling of fatigue.
Not sure if its me physically or just the heat. I was doing pretty good this winter/spring.
Oh yeah, summer training is a brut. I don't race in the summer, if I do, it's a 5k at the beginning or end of summer, I see it as my time to endure the tough conditions and build a lot of strength for fall racing and building up to the upcoming year. My brother was recently in town from Colorado, he's been out there for a few years and has gotten well accustomed to the higher altitudes, but the heat and humidity this past weekend on a trail run was killing him. We went out for 10 miles, climbed a good bit, east coast type terrain in Western PA, and he just kept saying, "omg I forgot how much you sweat out here, this is brutal!" Temp were high 80s with the humidity at 70%, all before noon. He told me if it's below 10,000 ft, higher humidity and dew points with the hills could def be more challenging for some than altitude, once you acclimate.
