One of the biggest non-African stars at World juniors last week was Switzerland's Delia Sclabas. Sammy Watson and Caitlin Collier came in with the accolades but Slabas left with the medals and PRs. She entered world juniors with a 2:03.93 800 pb and left with a 2:01.29 pb and a bronze medal. In the 1500, she didn't improve on her 4:10.10 pb but she did win another bronze. ]
Last year, she won the world junior title in the duathlon.
I only ask about Arizona state because that's what shows up on her page at the European athletics site and Tilastapaja
http://www.european-athletics.org/athletes/group=s/athlete=96910-sclabas-delia/index.html
Is world junior double medallist Delia Sclabas (800/1500) of Switzerland going to Arizona State?

I love this girl.
Star of the games, after Nozomi MF'ing Tanaka.
Had the balls to attempt a 800/1500 double and got medals in both! First legit finisher in the 1500, too, beaten only by overage Africans.
She's cute, spunky, smart, well-built and healthy.
Sub-2 and sub-4 are in her future. Will have some great duels with Claudia Lane if she comes to the U.S.
Is it too early for this moniker? I don't think so....
DELIA MF'ING SCLABAS -
I hope this is true.
She will dominate NCAAs. -

OMG speaking of Tanaka, her mom's name is Chihiro! That's the name of the girl from Spirited Away! (I think) -
It is indeed. Japan is a glorious place.
So is Switzerland.
Lane + Tanaka + Sclabas = THE HOLY TEENAGE TRINITY -
This is a mistake, probably from European Athletics. Delia has not finished High School and has no intention of going to the States.
If you can understand some german (or the french subtitles ) you Will be intrested in the vidéo série we did with Her last fall: https://www.athle.ch/2017/10/12/video-a-rencontre-jeune-prodige-de-course-a-pied-delia-sclabas/
Best regards! -
Thanks for clarifying this. I was quite confused because I although thought she was still in school in Switzerland but the wrong information had already travelled to certain other articles.
