If Walmsley runs from Green Gate to Auburn Lake as fast as Olsen did in 2012 (about 8:30 pace,) we could expect for him to arrive at Auburn Lake at about 8:11 pm ET.
Only 3 more hours of clicking?

I just noticed this thread isn't in the list of hot topics right now, lol. Suppose Jim hangs on and smashes the CR. What are the chances he gets so much as a blurb on the home page?

Still 20 miles to go.
Walmsley ... 12:16 for 85.2 miles ... 8:38 pace
9:26 pace for Walmsley to Auburn Lake.
So Walmsley split is up for Auburn Lakes at 85 mi. Section split was 9:26/mile. Does that account for the 5 min rest that he took.

Last split of 5.4 miles.
Walmsley hit Auburn Lake in 12:16...about 5 min slower on that last segment than Olsen, although I don't know any details.
Olsen hit Auburn Lake in 2012 in 12:35, so Walmsley still has a 19 minute advantage.

Yes it does. So 8:25ish pace for that segment.
It's only 83 degrees in Auburn currently.
19 mins up on CR pace with 15 left to run.

He won't make the Hot Topics unless Oiselle offers him an "expense plus gear" contract.

Official time is counted upon reaching a station. Rest at the station counts as part of the next split.

She probably passed the cowboys who are new to the 100 mile distance? She's a real beast at 100 and apparently 200 miles as well.

He can give up 1m/mile and still get a CR.
Next two aid stations are different than when Olsen set his record, so the next common aid station is No Hands Bridge at 96.8 miles.

Olson ran 8:54 pace , so we’ll have to compare paces.
Wrong. It's currently 95-97 in Auburn.
