Seriously? Not even this Whiteman dude that Coevett is bragging so much about?

Unlike Komen, he wasn’t in Kenya year round. And everyone is aware the muzungos aren’t invited to certain camps etc. That’s because it’s needle time.
Kennedy was clean. Whiteman was clean. Most of the Europeans, Japanese, Americans etc were clean. None of the E. Africans at the top were clean except William Tanui in the 800. If he had doped he’d have been at 1:42.

The guy saying Whiteman was dirty is working for the cause. Which means he hates YT. It’s the way to be cool and in these days.

Anthony Whiteman.
He was probably the most talented middle-distance runner of the EPO era and clean to boot.
He was probably on the same level talent wise as Coe, Ovett, and Cram.
This is cute. Are you seriously implying that the four most talented mid distance runners are British?
And all of them clean?
What are the odds...

Before clicking the thread, I thought “definitely NOT bob Kennedy”..
Kennedy would be one of the last guys to my vote if I was voting for clean runners.

I’d honestly go with Geb, Lagat, Bekele, Kipchoge etc a million times before Kennedy. These dudes ran super fast times in the late 90s/early 2000s but continued to be world class for ~15 years and into different eras.

Why is that? Isn't he a hard working honest Joe?
Look at the suspicious factors:
- Doping ban/sanctions n/a
- Involved in a doping scandal - no
- Ties to a doping coach/doctor - no
- Ties to a doping ring - no
- From a nation with a doping culture -no
- A sudden, rapid, unexplained performance jump - no
Kennedy, IMO, passes the suspicious test. He's clean & green!
I like Bob!

You are poorly informed.

I’m not Irish but I still go with O’Sullivan on the women’s side and Cragg on the men’s.

He was of course, a client of Dr Jeffrey Brown. So no, not clean
"...Most of the Europeans... were clean."
With the glaring, noatble exceptions of the Spanish and the Italians.
The latter especially: they were the masters of organized, systematic doping accross multiple endurance sports (not just running, but cycling and nordic skiing as well).
Julio Rey-era Spain were pretty notorious as well.

There's one name on this "clean" list that caused me to laugh out loud when I read it. Anyone running at the National (US) Level (particularily on the roads) in the 80's and 90's knows who I mean. Otherwise, I'll give you the other 10, -maybe.

Go find who was coming last and even then it was 50/50.
Daniel Komen.
Anyone who we’ve never heard of was clean.
More were clean than ever before
Pacemakers were paid serious money in those days. They were full time. Athletes just got used to running fast it was the norm.
I would not give Kennedy the benefit of the doubt based upon what others have said.
Are we defining epo era as late 80's through mid 2000's?
If I had to pick a known runner I don't know that I'd pick any males. There was no test pre 2000 and that pretty much says it all.
I could see Naoko Takahashi being clean. I'd generally bet on Japan to be cleaner than Africa, USA, China, most of Europe.

Seeing as Lagat tested positive.......
Picking one name I would go with Sonia O'Sullivan.
I agree with Anthony Whiteman - seeing him continue to run in British League fixtures for his club is great! Any athlete that goes for 10+ years without serious injury is obviously taking something so they can be safely discounted...
