Moen is completely out of it, has been for a long time

A Kenyan (whom I've never heard of) pacer stayed in and beat them and only ran 28:05. Color me unimpressed.

Maybe pacer will win (3 laps left ) :-)
He totally did.

Anyone got the times?
Rupp has to be LOL'ing at these results.
(Those are updated times for the 10k, not the program.)
Ozzie did well & fair play to the pacer staying in!

A white guy who i never heard of ended up neck and neck with the Kenyan. Color me unimpressed by the kenyan, but also, I don't think Wanders or moen cared. Seemed like a tempo workout for them
7 finishers - not surprised this one wasn't televised!

28:05 certainly isn’t going to turn any heads. Thankfully the Kenyan that won after pacing wasn’t touted as being the best his race had to offer.

Well, the best runner in the world, who also happens to be white, is Galen Rupp, so this is basically a race to find out who is 2nd best. Further, the temps are hot in Oslo. No way are they going all out, and will be no way to tell who is better. Only who is better in running in the heat.
Sorry, but the best White runner in the world is Ben MF Flanagan.
So this race ended up being a dud. The rabbit stayed in and won in it 28:05!!
Ben True is the best currently active white dude.
Mmmm..ever hear of Jordan Hasay?
Funny how they targeted the Norwegian record of 27:32 and the winner wasn’t even sub 28 minutes. Moen ran 28:37, over a minute off of his goal. He must be nowhere near where he was this past fall/winter, given that he was sub 28 through 10k in his half marathon PR. Good run from the Aussie McSweyn beating Wanders and nearly winning it.
Terrible race, but I understand it was hot and Renato Canova came on here the other day to say that Moen wasn't close to the shape he was in last year because of some time off due to injury.

surely you're joking.
andy vernon could probably beat true right now
Wanders came close to his PR but was not satisfied because he also wanted to get a Swiss record (27:53) and missed it clearly. He said it was too hot.
While it remains to be seen if he can keep his shape until the European CS, Richard Ringer is a favorite for me after his performance in London last month. I don't see any European runner who would be clearly better this season and even the "Turks" (Kenyans) who didn't run in London had some decent times (27:4x) last year but have not shown much in the current season. In fact, only one of the 3-5 "Turks" seems to have run any track race at all so far
