If Kipchoge had to run a marathon after he has recovered from a previous marathon, but hasn’t started to build up his shape bake, what would be his time? How much shape does he lose after the recovery period?

One week of recovery, back to square one. Recommend couch to 5k plan.
Yuki Kawuachi would knock out another sub 2:15.
It would be fun to see them race just a few days after the marathon. Let's say London 3 days later. I think Bekele would win. After 25k he knew things were slowing down the front to push the wr far out of reach. He lost motivation to push hard so disappointment also slowed him down. He would of had the most energy left at the end. I literally think he would easily win in the rematch 3 days later. I don't know the time. Maybe he would do the same time again. The others would be much slower. I'm not sure about Adola. It depends if he literally took it easy the last half or not.

I ran past Guye Adola in the second half. He was probably going slower than 6 minute miles.
I know he literally ran the second half in over 90 minutes, so not sure how much that would have taken out of him. It would be interesting if you surprised the elites by announcing straight after London that they would have to do another marathon in 3 days. Either Adola would run really well or really badly(if he was running the second half with injurys. I for one think Bekele would run the same time again 3 days later and win. He looked good in the 10 miles in Bern.
I remember an interview with Ryan Hall when he was in his prime. After the recovery from a fall marathon he tried to run the same pace as he had done in the marathon and he only managed 4 miles.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
