This got me to wondering about the "race of the day", and plugged both Noah and Jakob's races into and age-grade calculator, just for grins. Lyles' race came out to 98%, Jakob was 100%. In other words, the equivalent to Noah's 19.69 in the mile for age 17 is 3:57. It is pretty clear that considering just age, Ingebrigtsen had the "race of the day".
However, just looking at the raw scoring without age, Lyles has the better objective time.
