I'm going to be living at UCLA this summer. I was wondering if you guys had any other specific runs or advice for the area? If I was looking to do a 8ish mile tempo do you have any recommendations? Also any recommendations on long runs? I don't mind stop lights on easy runs but for tempos I'd like something uninterrupted. I'm not opposed to driving for workouts.
In the VA cemetery but not when a funeral is taking place. I used to do tempos and intervals in there routinely.

I actually live on the OC part of LA which technically isn’t LA but is much similar in terms of limited running options. My local option is a 3 mile loop on sidewalks. The way the residential subdivisions are designed around here, I can’t find any loops on asphalt that don’t have lots of turns and intersections.
Care to expound on where we can find "the OC part of LA?"
geezus freaking christ almighty dude, sounds like you don't even live in the same county!!! stop asking about a city that's not ANYWHERE close to your original question. If you lived in LA, you'd find trails just fine. Here's your answer- Move. you're welcome.
I live in Tampa. Where’s a trail in Orlando.
My friend lives in Milwaukee. Any trails he can run on in Chicago without having to drive to?
where in LA do you Live? North LA ? Long Beach (South)? Tons of places, but where do you live?

So whatever. Figure it out on your own d-bag.
I would like to nominate this reply for POD!!
Move to irvine or Laguna beach or Newport Beach or lake forest or missionviejo or many other cities in OC and you will have lots of trails close.
If you don't mind concrete, then the Strand (google calls it Ocean Front Walk) is perfect for tempos. It's a flat bike/ped trail that runs along the beach for about 25 miles. I don't know about the northern portions, but the southern bit has quarter mile markers. You'll be contending with bikes and walkers, but in general it's not much of an issue.
For long runs Will Rodgers State Park is your best bet. It can be hilly, but it's got very nice trails overall. Someone with better knowledge of the area might be able to tell you where to park to avoid having to pay.
I’m putting the OP in La Habra...just off Beach Blvd.
OP: Here’s what you got to do. Get a second job, save up some money, and move to East Side Costa Mesa. You can tell people on Let’s Run you live in Newport. From there, you’re right on the Back Bay, you’ve got Newport Beach (and the beach paths) in one direction and Irvine (and all the bike trails in the other).
Alternatively, get a second job and save up for a treadmill. There’s nothing pleasant about running in La Habra.
