Great shootout in the TJ
Ben Kigen pulls away at the bell, Kipruto 2nd, Jager 3rd (just about). Wow that was a great last lap from Kigen (pb 8:11). 8:09 final time
Crazy separation. What was that last laptime?
Great race from Kigen, but that was completely awful coverage... they always miss the break. Nice speed from Kigen
Splits say that was a 57.89 last lap from Kigen!

That's gotta be among the fastest closing laps of all time, no?
Jager’s plan to experiment this year and wait until the last lap seems like the definition of insanity. It’s never worked before, and he hasn’t gotten any better as a sprinter. That was a race that he needed to go hard from 800-1200 out
Probably the fastest closing lap of all time. That last lap was an incredible change of pace, looked like a championship 1500 closer and he didn't even need it.
This thread says the fastest closing lap before was 58.13 by Bernard Barmasai, or possibly a 57.x Shaheen at 2003 Worlds.
Talou 10.88, another fast time. And wind is +1.9 so it's legal this time.
Tori Bowie limping off the track, maybe this is the same thing that flared up before indoor USAs.
Yeah, sprinters are not taking this year too serious. None of the top women look good.
This is why I hate non championship years, because a lot of runners will not be in top form.
Ta Lou and her fellow countrywomen are having a great season, and look in top form, but will they be in
top form next year where it counts?
Kynard out at 2.32
Prediction: Muir 3:57
Karius ruined an otherwise good match.
out in 1:02.64
I hope Bowie is okay.
Congrats to Laura Muir for finishing her veterinary degree. Props to to making sure she has a vocation after her running career is finished.

No way. She spent the last few weeks studying. Even if she were in good shape, middle of the day in a windy stadium. 4:04 will be the winning time.

It's always that way, numbskull.
Shelby Houlihan just broke 4:00 with a great kick.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
