anyhow do you agree that Rupp is too big for distance? His skeleton is too massive to run efficiently without a lot of science.
Rupp is lean for distance, not fat and lazy like you are.

As expected, Rupp haters don't know what to do with themselves now. They're frothing at the mouth, throwing themselves around the room, and spewing non-sensical posts. It's gonna take a while for them to recover...or maybe they never will.
Well, it's pretty clear now: both Rupp and Farah are likely to break 2:05 before they're done, if they can stay healthy for a couple more years.
(Maybe challenge 2:04.)

Planning on going to sleep very early tonight and waking up for the race. We'll see how well that goes...
Prediction: 2:06:30 FTW.
Looks like the winning prediction in this thread. Congrats Teddy!

Correction: this is the winning prediction based upon the official winning time I just saw of 2:06:07, not 2:06:09.
Congrats Grrrrrr!
Honorable mention to Teddy Farley and LRC guru Jonathan Gault:

Today's race surely shows that Gary Lough is the way better marathon coach. Farah ran 2:06:21 off a brutal 61:00 half, Rupp's splits were almost even and he still was just by a couple of seconds faster.
I would bet every dime I own that Galen Rupp ends up with a far faster PR than Mo, and that Mo will never win an Olympic marathon medal. The game is far from over.
The marathon is just the marathon. You never really know how exactly various courses are measured.
The important thing is that Rupp has a better 10000m PB than Mo.
And yes, that bugs Farah.
Prague Marathon now replaying on the Olympic Channel....

Please don't take this personally Bad Wigins, but after reading a number of your posts over the last few weeks I've come to the irrefutable conclusion that you're an idiot.

So do I win 2018 Czech Koruna? Hey I could use the $94.80 towards a new pair of Hokas
I picked 2:05:46 because I thought he would be close but not get the AR on that particular course. In the latter stages I was hoping he would drop a crazy finish like in Chicago but he had to account for Sisay and play it late.
No question for me he is at least 2:04-mid in Berlin. It would be very cool to see him race Farah.
Bodyi was wrong with my 208 presixtion. so happy to see galen get a pr. woohoo go rupp!

15 seconds faster, slower course
Also splits don’t matter final time does, Rupp>Mo as would have happened in London as Mo faded Rupp would have cruised by him on the road
Do you realize had Mo not experience his water bottle fiasco , twice, he would have run 2:05?.....that's after going at sub 2:02:30 pace in hot weather?
A first for Letsrun. Twenty pages for the Prague Marathon.

so clearly Galen isn't happy just running 2:06 the whole way - he wants to win, from the front. He must know he's on 2:05 pace, and he doesn't care.
will be fun to watch him crumble
my username says it all.
What what if Mo Farah feels his age. Do you think at age 37 or 38 that he can run 2:04 marathon?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
