i think the wr is out of reach.

The weird thing is that Mary still beat her 2017 NYC time by over 3 minutes. She ran 2:27:54 there.
Kitata is no joke. Long stride

This is one of the problems with the women's race starting early. The women's finish often coincides with the big moves in the men's race.
You realize that only a few dozen people globally care about "the big moves," right?
Also, there have been no moves.
LOL

Who wins the majors?
Good question. Dibaba dropped, Keitany came in 5th.

Concur with this summary :)
Well at least now they can give the men their "undivided attention".
I also like how they commented on Keitany's integrity for not dropping out.
Oh hello, they have remembered that there are some men running, half-expect them to cut away to some idiot trying to get the world record for the fastest Elvis
Now that's how you grind through a marathon. Way to go Mary. Watch and learn all men.
Warning for anyone watching BBC coverage - they will very probably focus on Mo more than the leaders.
The last time Eliud Kipchoge was on my TV was 6:22 am according to my DVR. It's been over 20 minutes legit.
Since anyone like me who has been up for the last 30 minutes hasn't seen more than 5 minutes of the men's race. Here is what you've missed.
HALF: 61:00 exactly for Kipchoge
Mile 14: 4:42 (65:13) Abel Kirui getting dropped.
Mile 15: 4:46 1:09:59 No pacers now in men’s race and Farah right on Kipchoge’s shoulder up front.
25K: 1:12:36. 2:02:33 pace. Lead group stringing out and it’s Kipchoge, Kitata, and Farah, with a gap of 10 meters to Karoki in fourth.
Mile 16: 4:47 (1:14:46) Kipchoge continuing to push and Farah falling back now.
Mile 17: 4:42 (1:19:28) Kitata in second on Kipchoge’s shoulder. Farah now about 15 meters behind in third.
Mile 18: 4:48 (1:24:16) Kipchoge has dropped Farah and is trying to do the same to Kitata
30K: 1:27:24 It’s Kipchoge pushing with Kitata right behind, Farah 7 seconds down.
Mile 19: 4:51. Slowest mile of the race so far. WR slipping away.
Mile 20: 4:45 Still Kipchoge with Kitata on his shoulder.
Mile 21: 4:56 (1:38:48). WR pretty much gone.
35K:
Crazy that Ingrid Kristiansen would've been third with her 1985 london time

Ran bravely.
Encountered adversity.
Finished the race.
Basically the anti-Rupp.

Kitata - The future - only 21
I am Ethiopian - this boy is the real Deal!
Wow Kitata still with Kiochoge. Was rocking around a while ago but he's still only a stride behind so maybe that's just how he runs...
Will it be another Guys Adola situation??
Kiochoge's greatness rubs off onto another

Much better than the normal coverage though. Unless you like awkward interviews and Ariel shots of random streets.
Hey leave the bbc alone! This year they had to save money to broadcast the royal silly walk, so they hired a couple local kindergarteners to organize the marathon coverage. They are doing a fantastic job, so many tall buildings. Hey look legos!
kipchoge looks very strong Kitata is hanging on at the 1:45 mark

*Guye of course
What shoes is Kipchoge wearing?
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
