Well, I had been planning to begin interval training to get my mile down to a 7:30.
I started with some 200 meter intervals, running them at about a 6:45 pace - did about 8 of them with 1 to 1 ratio of work to work.
I felt fine during the workout but in a few hours, I noticed a very sore feeling in my groin area and in the area of my lower abdomen. From what I read, this is probably a strain of the psoas muscle and related core stabilizing muscles.
While it does not straight up hurt to run, a jog is rather uncomfortable but I am able to walk with no pain or discomfort - this seems to hint that I did not tear anything but that the tendons/and or muscles are strained.
Anyone ever dealt with this who might offer insight? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim
