Not after he just crushed 50 miles on saturday.

Hope you're kidding. He's soft as butter. Throws in the towel completely when the going gets tough. Would have quit before Sage.
Possibly, but decent chance he takes a wrong turn and ends up in Cambridge.
+1
He might have won if he thought that Boston was only 1/4 of the way though....

Are you kidding? Jim is pretty good, but Yuki is on a whole other level! Yuki is a 2:08 guy and runs ten sub 2:20s a year, Jim would be lucky to run 2:12 once.
And then in today's conditions? How did UTMB go for Jim last year? Not bad with 5th. But he went out in front and then the weather got to him and he bonked pretty hard. No way Jim would have even run 2:25 today.

No, he is too thin, he would have suffered in the cold. He did run a great 50 miler though at Lake Sonoma, 5:51 this past Saturday.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Walmsley...
He's on the same level as Yuki - and probably is even faster than him. He is a much stronger runner now than he was in college, and his mile and 5K are all superior to Yuki
Definitely think Walms would have won yesterday . Conditions were perfect for him,

Certainly you are joking. It's unlikely that Walmsley could run 2:15 under ideal conditions much less yesterday.
troll of the month, well played!
Jim would not have won Boston yesterday. I am an ultra jogger so I know these sort of things. The problem with Boston is that there are far too few aid stations. A jogger like Jim would need at least 60-70 stations all carrying gummies, cake, and cappuccino. With the amount it rained he also wouldn't have been able to bring his phone to take pictures.
Would he have won yesterday? Nobody knows.. He wasn’t there..
Speaking to him directly last year he said his goal was was qualifying for OT but by doing so in the half. 62 easy was what he said.
Rumors were he was dropping some of the guys in the flagstaff area pretty easily.
Boston is too flat for Jim. Throw another 4k of climbing in and then it's more up his wheelhouse
