Fighto Kawauchi-san! Ganbare!!
Fighto Kawauchi-san! Ganbare!!
This is fantastic for US Women's Running. Linden with the upset!!
This was race was built for Desi and Kirui.
they both have similar body types. strong quads, train in the hills, mentally and physical tough.
The right runners won this race.
as far as Desi goes, I think she just paced herself/conserved energy/ran the smartest race.
Kirui is just a beast.

I've heard Larry Rawson call both Kawauchi and Kirui "Kiruchi"
I think it's "Corroccio" or something like that.
KAWAUCHI REELING KIRUI IN!
YUKI CLOSING ON KIRUI
Desi is digging way deep.
Solid black Hyperion's.
How far to go??????
Yuki seems to be right there, mens race far from over.
HOLY COW HERE COMES YUKI
Kawauchi only 30s behind Kirui!
KAWAUCHI FOR THE WIN LETS GO BOYS!
How come the women are like 15 mins slower than usual, whereas the men are barely 5 minutes off normal times?
OMG YUKI GOING TO WIN!?
Rojo or Wejo; which one said they'd close the site down in this thread if Desi and Yuki both win!?

Mile 20: 2:00:57 Daska leads by 17 seconds over Chesir, who is closing down as they clim toward heartbreak. Linden 3rd, 25 seconds back of Daska. Huddle 1:39 behind Daska.
Chesir catches Daska at 21 miles, but she doesn’t go right by. They’re actually running on opposite sides of the road. Linden still about 20 meters behind. Daska not running the tangent but now she cuts in. Daska fading. Chesir now into the front, Desi closing the gap though as Daska is off the back in third.
Mile 21: 6:52
Linden into the lead now as they’re running along Comm Ave toward Cleveland Circle.
35K: 2:12:22
Mile 22: 6:08. (2:13:57)
Mile 23: 6:01 (2:19:57)
Mile 24: 5:54
Men
Mile 18: 5:01 1:31:48 130 meter lead or so.
55 second lead now at 1:38:35 (during mile 20)
Mile 19: 4:50 (1:36:38). Calling the lead 200 meters but he’s so far in front the press truck can’t see anyone else.
Mile 20: 5:05 1:41:43
Mile 21: 5:24 up heartbreak hill. Kirui has a lead of 1:23.
Mile 22: 5:19 (1:57:30) Still Kirui way out in front.
OMG. Kawauchi is within site of Kirui!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKI!!!!!!!!!!!
