Rupp missing an early water stop killed it for him. Was distracted by the weather and missed it. Then kept hearing alberto in his earpiece scolding him for it so now it is a mental obstacle wearing on him.

Salazar, "this is the best Galen has ever been prepared...the preparation is better than ever..."
Didn't prepare for precipitation though.
AlSal's quotes crack me up, he's so unbelievably arrogant about Galen that it just makes performances like today comical
Except Rupp generally runs what AlSal says he’ll run.
Advantage Linden. She's the heaviest of the bunch and will likely not suffer from hypothermia as bad as the other two with her.
Desi looking like she is running the tangents better in that last one - still in the screen at least. Daska looks like she is struggling a little over the last mile or so, Chesire looks very good
Kirui droppin folks like Boston Billy on the Newton Hills
GALEN WILL SURGE IN THE LAST 10K!
can't you see?
He's taking it easy, hiding, lurking waiting to pounce with his ELITE SPEED in the 10k, he knows the 10k! Watch out!
55 second lead, huge. Even I know that.
Sounds like smart racing from Linden.
Kiplagat and Daska on opposite sides of the road. Daska looks shot. Desi coming up with Kiplagat as they will presumably fly by Daska.
Someone should teach Daska how to run the tangents.
Common on Des!!!!
She read his name in Kanji and explained it to me.
How much will desi regret being shalane's domestique when she is running so well and shalane so poorly..
what a waste... hope Nike gives Desi some cashola for that class..

Kirui's lead is so big the lead truck can't see anyone behind him.
Women have crested heartbreak hill and Daska has been caught.
It's all downhill from here.
I'm liking Desi's chances. Daska is likely cooked and Desi has experience here.
HOLY CRAP!!
I haven't been able to see the screen in a while, Desi is right there!!
The Paris marathon ended that way too, it was kind of cool. Saina used Longyangata to pull her along and hung quite close to him for the rest of the race, so it was M, W, M, W in quick succession.
Desi is coming!!
I'm going to guess Rupp says he felt something during the race and didn't want to risk further injury...or, he just was out of it today..

She's toast anyway, it doesn't matter
They totally missed the pass!! idiots!
DESI!!!!!
Linden's stride looks so much better than the other two up front right now.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06

Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
